The inauguration of the third Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, Alhaji Umaru Tanko Almakura witnessed an unprecedented crowd to Lafia, the state capital.

The occasion, which brought the top brass of the Congress for Progressive Change, CPC, nationwide was witnessed by thousands of well wishers from within and outside the State.

The inauguration of Governor Umaru Tanko Al-makura as the third democratically governor of Nasarawa has no doubt changed the course of history in the fifteen years of the existence of Nasarawa State.

The situation at the Lafia township stadium, venue of the inauguration was better imagined than described.

This to a large extend is because of the number of dignitaries that graced the occasion with the presence CPC heavy weights at teh occasion.

This include the party's presidential candidate, Retired General Mohammadu Buhari, the party's national chairman, Prince Tony Momoh and chairmen of the party from across the country.

Other dignitaries present at the occasion were traditional rulers, politicians, the business class, permanent secretaries, as well as present and past chief executives of government's board and parastatals.
